O presente trabalho busca analisar

O presente trabalho busca analisar o Plano Diretor sobre a ótica dos problemas ambientais. Demonstra o Estatuto das Cidades e sua origem e o Plano Diretor das cidades, com destaque a cidade de Imperatriz-Maranhão. Verifica a aplicabilidade do Plano Diretor de Imperatriz sobre os impactos ambientais registrado na cidade, no que trata a sua implantação. Com a urbanização acelerada no município surgirão problemas ambientais, é comuns episódios de alagamento e resíduos em lugares irregulares, em consequência disto ocorre o aumento da degradação do ar da agua e do solo. No município esta implantada o Plano Diretor, mas falta colocar em pratica a construção do aterro sanitário para o deposito adequado de lixo, onde o mesmo necessita de ajustes.
Atualmente o plano esta defasado implorando por mudanças, para que haja uma melhora nas condições de vida da população e do meio ambiente. A metodologia utilizada consistiu em pesquisas bibliográficas com base em uma analise de documentos e artigos como fundamento para as discussões. Constatou-se que mesmo aprovado em 2004, o Plano Diretor da cidade de Imperatriz obteve problemas para sua efetiva implantação, pois o Ministério Público- MP fez inúmeras tentativas para que a gestão municipal cumprisse as determinações recomendadas pelo MP, de elaboração e revisão necessárias do plano, culminando na assinatura de um Termo de Ajustamento de Conduta em 2008, o aditivo em 2009

This study seeks to analyze the Master Plan on the viewpoint of environmental problems. It shows the status of cities and their origin and the Master Plan of the cities, especially the city of Imperatriz, Maranhão. Check the applicability of the Director of Empress Plan on the environmental impacts recorded in the city, as is its implementation. With rapid urbanization in the municipality will arise environmental problems are common episodes of flooding and waste in irregular places, in consequence of this is the increased degradation of air water and soil. In the city that implemented the Master Plan, but lack put into practice the construction of the landfill for proper deposit of garbage, where it needs adjustments.
Currently the plan this outdated begging for change, so there is an improvement in living conditions of the population and the environment. The methodology consisted of bibliographic research based on an analysis of documents and articles as a basis for discussion.
